It's a good time to stock up on smartphones, tablets, PCs, and everything else thanks to Black Friday and associated sales. Smartwatches are no exception, and Samsung's Galaxy Watch Active has received a sizeable discount.
The first-generation Galaxy Watch Active has received a 25% discount via Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung's official website (h/t: Android Police). That means you're paying $50 less than the original $200 launch price, and there's a lot to like on paper if you opt for this wearable.
This particular model automatically detects up to seven exercises, tracks 39 more exercises, offers sleep tracking, and offers water resistance. It also does the usual smartwatch tricks, such as support for notifications from your phone, playlist syncing, Samsung Pay functionality, and customizable watchfaces.
Our own Kris Carlon thought the watch was very competitively priced in his Galaxy Watch Active review, but lamented the "Active" aspect of the wearable.
"If you want a wearable for notifications, music, something to prompt you to move or relax, and tell you the time, then yeah, the Galaxy Watch Active is great," Kris explained. "But add blood pressure monitoring, sleep tracking, heart-rate monitoring, step or floor count to that list of needs and the Watch Active is simply not a good buy right now."
