NVIDIA Shield Tablet Marshmallow update now available to download

As promised, NVIDIA has begun pushing the Marshmallow update out for its original Shield Tablet. NVIDIA recently update the Shield Tablet K1 to Marshmallow, which brought many of the same fixes to the newer tablet. The update, which NVIDIA calls Software Upgrade 4.0, brings Now on Tap, Adoptable Storage, improved app permissions and more to the tablet.

The camera has also received a new Material Design-inspired UI along with new real-time HD image effects. In addition, NVIDIA has included the security fixes from the January monthly patch. The update is rolling out now, so if you have yet to receive it be on the look out for it. You can check for the update manually by heading into your Settings, About tablet and checking for it there.
