Only a few weeks after Jide released a public alpha version of their Android-based Remix OS, the company has announced it will offer a beta version of its PC operating system on March 1. Remix OS allows Android apps to run on an x86-based PC.
The beta version will have a number of additional features compared to the current alpha build. They include dual OS boot support via a hard drive installer, along with the ability to receive over-the-air updates. It also adds support for 32-bit systems. In addition, there will be a large number of bug fixes in the beta build. Remix OS has been created primarily as a way to revamp older Windows-based PCs with an Android-based OS.
