At a press event in New Delhi, Motorola launched the Moto X Force — the international variant of the Droid Turbo 2 — in India. The major highlight with the phone is a shatterproof screen, which is made up of an integrated system of five layers that absorb shock from impact. Motorola says that the phone is the first in the world to offer such a screen, and is backing up its claims by providing an unprecedented four-year warranty on the display.
According to a survey conducted by the company, a smartphone screen cracks every two seconds globally, and more than half (53%) of smartphone owners have cracked or shattered their smartphone screens at least once. As such, it makes sense for the vendor to focus its attention on making the screen more resilient. The Moto X Force also features nano-coating — similar to what we've seen on the Moto G 2015 — which makes it splash-proof. It's water-resistant, mind you, and not waterproof like what Sony offers.

You also get Motorola's fast charging tech, which the manufacturer claims will give you eight hours of usage with a charge time of just 15 minutes. Motorola is including the 25W TurboCharger in the box.
The 32GB variant of the Moto X Force is priced at ₹49,999 ($737), and the 64GB variant is priced at ₹53,999 ($796). It is available in three color variants, with black and grey colors in ballistic nylon finish and a white color in soft grip rubber finish. The device will go on sale in India starting from February 8 on Flipkart and Amazon, as well as offline stores like Spice Hotspot and Croma.
