The Realme brand has done some fantastic numbers ever since it launched in India roughly a year ago. That trend looks to continue with the Realme 3 Pro, which made its debut in India and quickly sold out.
According to Realme CEO Madhav Sheth, the latest model sold out its first shipment of 170,000 units in just eight minutes. Sheth added that additional stock was incoming and due to go on sale on the first day too, which suggests the final sales figure will be higher.

This figure falls short of the standard Realme 3, which purportedly sold 210,000 units on its first day. It still makes for an impressive number though, as the Realme 3 Pro is the more expensive smartphone.
Sheth also had news for owners of older Realme devices, giving out specific launch dates for the Android Pie beta. The CEO notes that the transition from beta to stable firmware will take roughly 15 to 20 days. The beta launch dates are as follows:
- Realme 2 Pro — May 15
- Realme 1/U1 — June 5
- Realme 2/C1 — June 15
The good news doesn't stop there for existing Realme owners, as the CEO confirmed in a video (skip to seven minute mark) that Hyperboost tech was coming to older devices. Sheth noted that the game-boosting tech will come to the Realme 1, Realme U1, and the Realme 2 Pro via the Android Pie/ColorOS 6 update. He added that the feature is still being considered for the Realme C1 and Realme 2.
Our own Dhruv Bhutani thought the latest phone was a pretty good device in his Realme 3 Pro review. Dhruv praised the phone's battery life, performance, and fast charging, but lamented the low-light performance and incomplete software. Would you get the Realme 3 Pro or Redmi Note 7 Pro?
