Update: November 25, 2019: We have updated this post with a new way to get Disney Plus for free, via the purchase of a new Chromebook like the Pixelbook Go.

Disney Plus is, without a doubt, the biggest launch in the history of the premium streaming service industry. You can now stream not only tons of classic TV shows and movies from the vast Disney library but several original shows and films as well. The price of Disney Plus is also pretty reasonable. It costs $6.99 a month, or $69.99 for an annual subscription. But is there any way to get Disney Plus for free?

Yes! Here are at least four ways to get Disney Plus for free. If we discover any other ways to get the service for free, we will add it to this article.

1. How to get Disney Plus for free: Seven-day trial

This is the simplest way of checking out Disney Plus for free. Just sign up for the service, either with the monthly or annual plan, and you have seven days to try it out for free. Here's how to sign up for Disney Plus:

  1. Go to the Disney Plus website on your browser. You will see two subscription choices: one is for $6.99 a month, the other is for $69.99 for an annual subscription. Both offer users a seven-day free trial. Even if you sign up now, November 12, your credit or debit card won't be charged until November 19.
  2. You will then asked to type in the email address you want to use for your Disney Plus account. You'll have to agree to the company's Privacy Policy and Subscriber Agreement. Then, you can tap on the "Agree & Continue" box for the next phase.
  3. Next, create a personal password for your account. Once you have typed that in, tap on "Continue."
  4. Now it's time to put in your payment information. You can either put in your credit/debit card info, or you can use a PayPal account. Once you have filled out the payment info, tap on the "Agree & Continue" box.
  5. That's it!

If you decide to dump Disney Plus at any point, just cancel your subscription before the seven-day free trial ends. You should not be charged for the seven days that you use it.

2. One year for free for Verizon wireless and internet customers

Verizon Wireless has announced that unlimited wireless customers will be able to get one year of Disney Plus for free. The specific plans that will have the free year of the streaming service are  Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, and Start Unlimited. The free year is not available for prepaid plans, nor is it available for business wireless plans.

If you are a new Verizon Wireless customer, you can claim your free year of Disney Plus by creating and signing into your My Verizon account. You can do that either on the My Verizon web site or via the My Verizon app. Once you are signed up you should see the Disney Plus promotion. Click on the Get Disney+ selection and proceed through the normal signup process for the service.

New customers for Verizon's consumer Fios internet service can also get the free year of Disney Plus. That's also extended to new and current customers of Verizon's 5G Home internet service. The bad news? Current Fios internet users are not eligible for the free Disney Plus year.

If you've already signed up for Disney Plus and happen to be a Verizon unlimited customer, you can still get that free year. You can enroll for the free offer through Verizon, but it won't automatically replace your previously purchased subscription. Verizon should send you an email with information about how to manage your pre-purchased Disney Plus subscription.

3. Some LG TV buyers can get it for free

If you bought an LG OLED 2019 TV, between November 12, 2019 and February 9, 2020, you can get a year of Disney Plus for free. If you buy a 2019 LG Nanocell TV, during the same time period, you can get six months of free Disney Plus. Just keep your receipt and upload it to the LG website within 90 days of the purchase of the TV. The receipt must be uploaded no later than May 9, 2020. The code for the free Disney Plus will be sent 28 days after confirmation of the receipt. This deal is just for new Disney Plus subscribers only.

4, New Chromebooks buyers get Disney Plus free for three months

Chromebooks are already a huge bargain for people who want a notebook for web browsing. watching videos, and for running Android apps. Now Google, the makers of the Pixebook Go, has launched a limited time offer for anyone who buys a new Chromebook between November 25, 2019, and January 31, 2020. Those buyers can get three months of Disney Plus for free.

Here's how it works. When you purchase a new Chromebook inside of the required time period, you then go to the Chromebooks Offers page. You should get a promotional code for the three free months of Disney Plus. Then, on your new Chromebook, just go to the Google Play Store and download the Disney Plus app. You then create your Disney Plus account in the app. When you reach the payment page, type in the promo code in the "Redeem Code" section and your three months of Disney Plus will begin.

This offer is just for US residents, and just for new Disney Plus subscribers. Also, this offer must be redeemed by January 31, 2020. If you happen to buy your new Chromebook on that day, don't wait around to take advantage of this way to get Disney Plus for free.

5. Disney park employees can get Disney Plus for free

If you are employed at one of the Disney parks, like Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida, you will be able to claim a free Disney Plus subscription. According to WDW News Today, those employees (which the company calls "Cast Members") can claim that free offer starting in January 2020. The offer will be the special bundle that includes Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus in one package. That normally costs $12.99 a month.

Unfortunately, those Cast Members will have to choose between either the free Disney Plus bundle or the Disney Parks Main Entrance Pass. That offer lets employees give free passes to family members and friends to the Disney parks.
