Here’s how to get the new Google Pixel Buds 2 for $140 ($40 off) right now

Google Pixel Buds 2 Deal Verizon April 2020 Google Pixel Buds 2 Deal Verizon April 2020

Just today, Google formally launched the Google Pixel Buds 2, its first set of true wireless earbuds. At a list price of $179.99, the new Buds ain't cheap. However, with a little effort, you can save $40 off a pair right now through Verizon.

You don't need to be a Verizon subscriber to get this deal. However, you will need a United States shipping address for the Google Pixel Buds 2, so any of you who are overseas are out of luck, I'm afraid.

Now, before you go rushing off to the Verizon site to buy your Buds, there is something you need to do to get the deal. In order to slash $40 off the list price of the Google Pixel Buds 2, you need to add two extra items to your cart, specifically a six-pack of leather cable straps. If you don't want them, too bad: you need to get them to get the deal! However, since adding them to your cart saves you money, think of them more as a free gift rather than a burden!

Anyway, follow the steps below to get $40 off the Google Pixel Buds 2:

  1. Click here to visit Verizon's site and then add the Google Pixel Buds 2 to your cart.
  2. Click here to add two of the Verizon Cable Straps Leather Six-Pack to your cart (you need to buy two!).
  3. Head to your cart and you should see a discount of $60, which means you get the straps for free and $40 off the Buds!
  4. Check out as normal.

It's not quite clear why this deal works, but it does! We suggest getting on it ASAP just in case it's an error and Verizon changes the deal.

Hat-tip to 9to5Toys for spotting this deal.
