Samsung is hosting a special event in South Korea for Galaxy Buds Plus fans where customers can mix and match colors of the earbuds to their taste. That begs the question: Why can't we just mix and match Galaxy Buds all the time the world over?
The company announced the special promotion in a blog post (via SamMobile) that event will happen at the Samsung Digital Plaza Hongdae Branch and Galleria Gwanggyo Branch from May 1 through June 30.
During the limited-time event, the Galaxy Buds Plus in Korea are available in black, blue, pink, red, and white, so buyers taking part in the online event will have plenty of options to create interesting color combinations. Buyers are also able to mix up the color of the charging case, along with each earbud. However, the ear wings and tips must match the color chosen for the buds.
As cool as it all sounds, it's rather unfortunate that the event is locked to South Korea and buyers in the rest of the world are left out. If these event ends up being successful for Samsung in South Korea, perhaps the company will elect to try it out in other regions to see if it's something that could help sell more sets of Galaxy Buds Plus. After all, mixing and matching is a feature not offered by other earbud makers, so it could be another factor that'll help Samsung's offering stand out from the crowd.
