Huawei appears to be prepping a refresh of its popular Huawei P30 Pro from 2019 in the form of the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition.

According to Huawei's German website (via Huawei Central), the company is releasing the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition for a limited time. Consumers will be able to snag a device from May 15 through June 30.

As of this writing, no specs or prices have been released, nor has the company made a formal announcement of the new device. However, we'd expect the device to be a slightly upgraded version of the original Huawei P30 Pro, much like the company did when it released the Huawei P30 lite New Edition. The original ran on the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, and we'd expect the refresh to remain on the same one.

Huawei seems to have found a way to get around the restrictions Google and the US government has placed on it by simply re-releasing its old phones that already have certification to access Google Play. Of course, this will only work for so long, as the processor in these year-old devices will start to lag behind current models, leaving buyers seeking other brands offering phones with more current chipsets and full access to Google's suite of services.

At some point, Huawei is going to need to figure something out, but putting out a still relatively current device with full access to Google Play is a decent enough stopgap until the company can sort out the situation (if it can).
