Google Calendar adds smart suggestions for more languages, 54 new holiday calendars

Google is rolling out an update to its Calendar app that brings support for 30 new languages with smart suggestions when setting up events. With event smart suggestions, users can more quickly set up events in their calendar as Google suggests locations and people to add once you start typing the title. All users have to do is tap on a suggestion to have it added to the event.

Also in the latest update is support for 54 new country-based holiday calendars. With the additions, users can choose to add public holidays from one or more of a total of 143 countries to their calendar by heading to the Settings menu and selecting the "Holidays" option.

Google says the update currently in the process of rolling out, so it may take a couple of days to show up for your device. For the full list of newly supported languages with smart suggestions, be sure to check out Google's full blog post.
