LG G Pad III 8.0 unveiled, goes up for sale in Canada

LG has launched the latest iteration in its budget tablet series, the G Pad III 8.0. The tablet now features an 8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200) TFT display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU. There's 2GB of RAM on offer, 32GB internal memory, and a microSD slot that can accommodate cards up to 2TB.

Other specs include an 8MP camera at the front, a 5MP shooter at the back, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB connectivity, 4800mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Korean model is priced at ₩330,000, which comes out to $278.

Canadian carriers Rogers and Fido are now offering the tablet, with a few differences in specs from the Korean variant. The Canadian version picks up LTE connectivity (Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17), offers Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and Bluetooth 4.2.

However, the internal storage is decreased from 32GB to 16GB, and the camera at the front is a 5MP offering. Both carriers are selling the G Pad III 8.0 for CAD 240, which comes out to the equivalent of $185. We'll let you know once the tablet makes its way to other regions.
