Halloween 2016 has been over for a few weeks now, but everyone likes a good scare at any time of the year. Developer Jesse Makkonen hopes to bring Android gamers some creepy experiences with DISTRAINT: Pocket Pixel Horror, which is now available on the Google Play Store after making its debut on PC in 2015.
The game centers on a character called Price, who apparently is one of those upwardly mobile folks who would do anything to make a business deal. In this case, he wants to form a partnership with a company by getting rid of people in apartments who have fallen behind on their rent. Since this is a horror game, Price is going to learn that task is going to take more than just an eviction notice on a door.
The game is a 2D side-scroller with some retro-style minimalist graphics and a simple user interface. While the game is free to download and play, there is a $1.49 in-app purchase that does away with its in-game ads. It's been designed to take about two hours to complete so it's not one of those adventure titles that will consume your life for days.
