Android gaming is getting bigger and better every month it seems and there is always a slew of new titles coming to Google Play. Whether you're a casual gamer or you want something with a bit more meat on its bones, there's usually a game coming out to suit everyone's taste. Some months are better than others, but there is usually at least one great new game on mobile every month. Let's take a look at the best new Android games from the last month! You can watch the videos on YouTube from previous months by clicking here! You can also check out our picks for the best new Android games for 2017 in the video above!

ChronoBlade

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
ChronoBlade is a new, freemium brawler. The game features 2D graphics, simple but fun controls, RPG elements, and fairly decent action. There is also online PvP. The PvP allegedly requires more skill and timing than most. However, it's a freemium game, so that's not always going to be accurate. Otherwise, this is a competent game that should provide a few dozen hours of fun game play before the freemium grind sets in really bad.

Cytus II

Price: $1.99 / $9.99
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Rayark is a champion in the mobile rhythm game genre. Cytus II is their latest creation. It boasts gorgeous graphics (for a rhythm game), unique and fun mechanics, and even a story line. The game also includes a total of 60 songs. The first 30 come with the initial purchase of the game. An in-app purchase unlocks the rest. This is about as good as it gets in the rhythm genre. We expected a solid game out of Rayark. That's what they delivered.

Florence

Price: $2.99
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Florence is a narrative story type game. It's by the lead designer of Monument Valley. Thus, the game had a lot of hype. In terms of mechanics, it features heavy narrative story telling and a graphic novel style of play. You play as Florence as she navigates life with her man, Krish. This game isn't difficult in any way, but that's kind of the point. Those who enjoy narratives may like this one. However, there whole game depends on its characters resonating with the player. If they don't with you, you probably won't like this game. In any case, it's $2.99 with no in-app purchases. That's a very reasonable price.

My Tamagotchi Forever

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
My Tamagotchi Forever is the return of the popular Tamagotchi toy from the 1990's. It lets you do most of the same stuff. That includes taking care of your little Tamagotchi character, playing with it, and letting it sleep. It also features some customization, mini-games, and even an augmented reality hide-and-seek game. This one is a freemium game like most popular IP reboots these days. That's not ideal, but it doesn't wreck the game either. It's good for killing some time for a little while, just like its predecessor.

Part Time UFO

Price: $3.99
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Part Time UFO is a fun little puzzle-adventure game. You play as an alien from outer space. The alien crash landed on Earth and needs work. The player performs a variety of quests, mini-games, and puzzles as a result. Additionally, the game features customization items, a variety of NPCs, and Google Play Games support. It runs for $3.99 with no in-app purchases or advertisements. It carries a 4.9 rating on Google Play for good reason. This is a really good game. It's also by HAL Laboratory, developers of Kirby games as well as other titles.

PUBG Mobile

Price: Free
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
PUBG Mobile is one of the biggest FPS releases in mobile history. It comes not long after its massively popular launch on other platforms as well. The game pits you and 99 other people against each other on an island. Players have to find gear, outrun the restricting borders, and keep going until only one player stands. The mobile version runs surprisingly well with sensible FPS mechanics. It's far from perfect, but it's definitely better than average when it comes to bugs on new mobile games. Plus, for now anyway, it's entirely free with no in-app purchases. Enjoy that while it lasts.

Shadowgun Legends

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Shadowgun Legends is the latest game from the developers of the popular Shadowgun series, Dead Trigger series, and UNKILLED. It's a sci-fi themed shooter with a lot going for it. The game includes a campaign story mode along with an online PvP mode. Additionally, it features co-ops raids, over 600 weapons, over 1,000 armor pieces, and relatively decent skill tree. It's a freemium game, but honestly, that's about the only bad thing about this one.

Siege of Dragonspear

Price: $9.99
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Siege of Dragonspear is the first new Baldur's Gate title in a very long time. It plays a lot like the previous ports by Beamdog available on Google Play. That means there are a ton of on-screen buttons, tons of RPG elements, and a huge story line. Thus, we only recommend playing this game on larger displays like big phones or (more likely) tablets. The game also features cross-platform multiplayer and that's an outstanding feat for a mobile game. It has a few early bugs. However, there's nothing that makes the game unplayable. It's a deep, heavy RPG for hardcore RPG fans.

The Sims Mobile

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
The Sims Mobile is the latest mobile Sims game. It follows the same paradigm of most Sims titles. That includes building a house, living a life, interacting with other Sims, and all of that stuff. The game features a bunch of customization things as per the norm. It also has online multiplayer. That way you can play with other people. It has a few small issues. However, most people don't seem to mind. It's a freemium game, but this one might actually be one of the better ones.

TEKKEN

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
TEKKEN is one of the biggest fighting game releases on mobile. Sadly, it could be better. The game includes various scenarios, landscapes, characters, and lore from previous TEKKEN games. Thus, the nostalgia factor is there. However, the mechanics are a vastly simplified series of taps and swipes along with a card collecting mechanic for special moves. In terms of expectation versus reality, this game is a bit of a disappointment for hardcore fighting game fans. However, it should be relatively decent for the casual gamer crowd.
