  • Xiaomi developed the Mi VR alongside Oculus and it is basically a rebranded version of the Oculus Go.

The Mi Band 3 is the latest update to the company's popular fitness tracker. While it was announced last week, today Xiaomi provided more details about the product.

Like the Mi Band 2, it has an OLED display, although this time it is also a touchscreen and at 0.78-inch is slightly bigger. Xiaomi says this leads to a better experience for viewing messages and answering calls.

The physical button is still there to make controlling the device easy. According to Xiaomi, the Mi Band 3 has a 20-day battery life which is similar to its predecessor. The IP rating also appears to have been improved as the device is now water resistant at up to 50-meters.

Xiaomi Mi VR

The Mi VR is a standalone VR headset that has been co-developed with Oculus. We first learned about it at CES earlier this year and it is basically a rebranded version of the Oculus Go.

This means it has a 2K fast switch screen, as well as integrated speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor and has access to over 1000 Oculus optimized games. Everything can be controlled by the included controller. Of course, as a standalone headset, it doesn't need a computer or a phone to work.
