Doom and Doom II are two first-person shooters developed by id Software, which also developed Commander Keen, Wolfenstein, Quake, and Rage. Both games have you playing as an unnamed space marine. Whereas the original Doom takes place on Mars and hell, Doom II takes place on Earth and a different version of hell.

How do you play Doom and Doom II?

In Doom and Doom II, you traverse the 3D levels until you reach a marked exit room, with plenty of enemies standing in your way. Levels contain various supplies of ammunition, health, and armor, with guns also available from dead enemies or throughout the levels.

Even though the levels are in 3D, your character, enemies, and environmental objects are presented as 2D sprites. The so-called "2.5D" graphics might trip up some people used to completely-3D gameplay design, but the twitch gameplay style of Doom makes them easy to get accustomed to.

What's included with Doom and Doom II?

Doom comes with the Thy Flesh Consumed expansion, along with local four-player co-op and deathmatch modes. Doom II includes four-player multiplayer and co-op, along with The Master Levels. These are 20 additional community levels created under supervision by the original developers.

When did Doom and Doom II come out?

Doom and Doom II launched on July 26, 2019, on the Play Store. Doom originally launched December 10, 1993, for the MS-DOS, while Doom II launched September 30, 1994, for the same platform.

Sort of! Nvidia teamed up with Bethesda and released Doom 3: BFG Edition back in 2015 for the Shield. Included with the game are Doom and Doom II, though none of the Doom games were previously available to Android users without a Shield device.

How much do Doom and Doom II cost?

Doom and Doom II cost $4.99, with no in-app purchases for either game.

Can I use my controller to play Doom and Doom II?

Strangely enough, there's no controller support. Currently, the only control options in the settings are for the display controls. Here's hoping a future updated brings with it controller support.
