The app features voice calls, screen sharing, chat, and there are some privacy protections in place for those who are a bit queasy about the idea. AirDroid has a monthly price, but AirDroid Remote Support is a free addition to that service.

LUCIDPIX 3D

Price: Free

LUCIDPIX 3D is a camera app with a focus on 3D content. You take pictures and the app gives it a parallax effect. It can also take existing 2D photos and give them the same 3D effect. The app is a bit of a one trick pony, but at least that trick is pretty cool. The photos are also shareable to social media. It's in Early Access Beta on Google Play so potential users should expect bugs and for features to pop in as the app continues to develop. It's free to use at the time of this writing.

Magic: The Gathering Companion

Price: Free

Magic: The Gathering Companion is a companion app for people who play the physical Magic: The Gathering card game. It's mostly for setting up and keeping track of tournaments. The app can keep track of many variants, including Draft, Constructed, and Sealed formats with more to come later. There is also support for up to 16 players with linked Wizard accounts if you want to go that far. It's probably not something for the everyday Magic: The Gathering player and it doesn't have card info or a life counter or anything useful for individual players. However, those who organize smaller tournaments fairly frequently may want to give it a try.

You can also send files between people at a distance like any normal file sharing app. Some other benefits of the Lite version is a very small APK size and it works well on lower end devices in areas with restricted Internet. Of course, the app isn't available all over the world, at least not yet. Hit up the Play Store to see if it's available for your device if you're interested.

Space Weather Reporter

Price: Free

Space Weather Reporter is a super niche app that does a really neat thing. It tells you the weather in space. The app uses data collected from DONKI and sends you notifications when events happen. You can track things like solar flares, geomagnetic storms, and all kinds of other stuff. The app does basically just this one thing and that's why it's a niche app. Those who have no interest in space weather should definitely skip this one. However, it's a free app with some excellent information should you ever want to learn about it.

SpotWidget

Price: F$1.99

SpotWidget is an app born from change. Spotify recently removed its home screen widget, angering many people. SpotWidget is an attempt to restore it. The app gives you a widget that looks very much like the old Spotify widget. It has pause and play along with skip controls. The widget also shows artist information. It's an excellent idea in theory, but the app still needs some work. Many people are complaining about some bugs, including a bug where the widget doesn't update with the correct information. Thus, we recommend holding off on this until the developer gets some of these bugs fixed. However, once they do, this app should be a good replacement for the old Spotify widget.

überliste is a new grocery app list app. It functions as you would expect such an app to function. You add a bunch of groceries to the list and check them off when you put them in your cart at the store. Some of the extra features includes a database of items for quick reference and you can add to the database as well. You can create multiple lists and also share lists with other people in the family. The app has a clean UI and it's easy enough to use. However, users have complained about the occasional bug. Like most new Android apps, we expect the issues to get ironed out as time goes. It's a good, simple, basic grocery app list without too many frills.
