Huawei Smart Screen leaks: Is it a Huawei smart TV running Android?

It looks like the Honor Vision might not be the only Huawei TV or smart screen.

The Honor Vision TV is branded as a "smart screen," and it's currently available in China only. But it looks like international users can expect a variant or an entirely different experience soon.

Four so-called Huawei/Honor Smart Screen devices recently surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG website (model numbers HEGE, OSCA-550, OSCA-550A, OSCA-550X, and OSCA-550AX).

These four devices are all listed as running EMUI HomeVision, but there are also Google and Android references tied to them. This suggests that whatever Huawei/Honor is working on will have Android integration.

Editor's Pick

It's unclear whether EMUI HomeVision is a skin for HarmonyOS, Android, or both platforms. But a platform-agnostic skin could make sense for Huawei, allowing it to offer a similar user interface to Chinese and global users, regardless of the underlying platform.

Additionally, it's worth noting that the Hi1103 chipset linked in the listing also appeared in the Honor Vision, suggesting a wider release of the previously launched gadget.

There are other possibilities too, such as an all-new Huawei TV or a smart display akin to the Nest Hub (the Bluetooth listing doesn't reveal screen sizes after all). Either way, it looks like Huawei is dabbling in a different field compared to its usual smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
