Starting Feb. 20, Stadia will work on non-Pixel phones. Here’s the list.

Google Stadia playing on phone 1

Since its launch late last year, Google Stadia has only worked on select phones within the Google Pixel line. Starting this week, though, the list of Stadia phones is going to grow exponentially to include devices from Samsung, Asus, and Razer.

The new phones will begin working on February 20, 2020. Coincidentally (or maybe not), that's only 24 hours before pre-orders begin for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 series.

Here is the full list of Google Stadia phones that will work with the game streaming service starting on February 20:

  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9
  • Samsung Galaxy S10e
  • Samsung Galaxy S10
  • Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S20
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Razer Phone
  • Razer Phone 2
  • ASUS ROG Phone
  • ASUS ROG Phone 2

Obviously, although the Galaxy S20 series appears on the list, consumers won't yet have those phones. They hit store shelves on March 6.

Strangely, the list doesn't include the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G nor the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G. We reached out to Google for clarity on this but it said the list above is final as of now. We assume these devices will also work with Stadia, but we'll need to wait until February 20 to know for certain.

It's also not totally clear if there will be any operating system limitations to the older devices on the list. For example, if someone is still running Android 7.0 Nougat on their Galaxy S8, will Stadia still work? The Galaxy S8 does not have Android 10, so it's clear Stadia phones don't need to be on that to function.

Regardless, if you own one of the phones on that list, you'll be able to enjoy Stadia starting on Thursday. Let us know if you're going to take Stadia for a spin in the comments below.
