13 Reasons Why (Final season – June 5)
One of the first big breakthrough Netflix original series was 13 Reasons Why. The teen drama initially focuses on a young woman who committed suicide and the effects her actions had on her classmates and family. For the final season, those classmates will have to deal with even more drama as they try to keep the secret of a teen's murder covered up.
The Last Days of American Crime (June 5)
What if you lived in a version of the United States where no one could commit a crime? That's the premise of this new movie, based on the comic book of the same name. In the movie, the US is about to turn on a nationwide device. It supposed to send a signal that will enter into anyone's head if they are about to commit a crime and stop them from doing so. So naturally, before the signal is fully operational, a group of folks are going to try to pull off one last big heist.
Da 5 Bloods (June 12)
Fresh off his Academy Award-winning film BlacKkKlansman, Spike Lee returns with his next movie, and it's a Netflix exclusive. Da 5 Bloods centers on four former Vietnam War US veterans who return to the country decades later. Their mission is two-fold. One is to find a lot of gold they buried while they were there. The other is to find the remains of their squad's leader, who is played in flashbacks by Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (June 26)
Eurovision is the somewhat wacky televised singing contest that's normally held every year. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Eurovision was canceled for 2020. However, we are still getting this Eurovision-themed comedy movie from Netflix. Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams play songwriters and performers from Iceland who win the chance to represent their country in the Eurovision finals. Demi Lovato and Dan Stevens also star in the comedy.
