A new version of Apple Music is making its way out to Android users today. The app now supports family plan subscriptions and the option to watch music videos and other video content that is available through Apple's service.
Apple has been uploading thousands of music videos to its service in a bid to give its app an edge over its rivals. These can be searched for by artist and popular videos are now featured on the app's main page. Along with music videos, Android app users can now watch a range of other music related programs, including Taylor Swift's tour documentary that was released last December, if that's your thing.
With a family plan, up to six people can share access to the same account, sharing all of their music across multiple platforms and devices, now including Android. One of the most compelling aspects of the family plan is that it only costs $14.99, while membership for a single person costs $9.99.
Close comparison: Apple Music vs Spotify vs Google Play MusicThe Apple Music Android app has received a number of improvements since its launch. In February the Android app was granted a feature to save music to microSD cards for offline listening, and it was updated with a new homescreen playback widget, along with some other features, just last month.
If you want to try out the app, Apple Music is available for free from the Google Play Store.
