Realme X50 Pro 5G will be a specs monster and will also be a global release

Realme X50 5G

A month ago, we saw the Realme X50 5G. While the phone looked pretty cool, it only saw a release in China. Now, we have a few official specs and some other confirmations about the Realme X50 Pro 5G. The devices might look similar, but they will be quite different.

Before we get into the information, though, we should be clear that what we're about to tell you are the official specs we know of from Realme's own website. These are not rumors, these are definitely what the phone will come with. That being said, we don't yet know all the specs, but we can guess some of them based on the Realme X50.

The first bit of big news for the Realme X50 Pro 5G is that it will get a big bump in processing power as compared to the vanilla X50. The X50 Pro will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, the same processor you'll find in the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. For the record, the X50 only had a Snapdragon 765G.

Elsewhere, the X50 Pro will have a Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is also an upgrade over the X50, as that had a higher refresh rate (120Hz) but an IPS LCD panel.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G will also have an incredibly fast wired charging speed of 65W, which Realme is marketing as SuperDart. Even the $1,400 Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra only has 45W charging, and you need to buy a separate charger to get it to work.

As far as design goes, we are relatively certain the device will feature a quad-lens camera on the rear, as the X50 had that going for it. A shadowy render on the Realme website also appears to confirm the X50 Pro will have a dual-lens selfie camera, which we also saw on the X50. In general, we should expect the X50 Pro to look remarkably similar to the X50, just with some beefed-up internals.

As for RAM and storage options, the X50 starts with 6GB of RAM and goes all the way to 12GB, and starts at 128GB of storage and goes up to 256GB. We can comfortably assume the Realme X50 Pro 5G will offer the same or better options.

Finally, the X50 Pro 5G will see a global release. The X50 is confined to China only, at least for now, but the X50 Pro should land in India, Europe, and other countries. It is unlikely, however, to land in the United States.

You can find out everything there is to know about the Realme X50 Pro 5G when the company launches it on February 24.
