Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK unveiled the mighty Z2 Pro earlier this month, offering a Snapdragon 820 and 6GB of RAM for $420. The vendor has now announced the ZUK Z2, which offers a 5-inch Full HD display, the same 2.15GHz snapdragon 820 SoC, and 4GB of RAM along with 64GB internal storage for what amounts to $273 (¥1,799).
Other specs include a 13MP ISOCELL camera with PDAF, 8MP front shooter with 1.4μm pixels, fingerprint scanner, LTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, USB-C, and a 3500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of software, the phone runs Marshmallow out of the box, with ZUK's custom ZUI 2.0 running the show.
ZUK has a presence outside China, with the vendor partnering with Cyanogen OS on the software front. The ZUK Z2 sounds like the ideal handset in the sub-$300 segment, but as of now there's no mention as to when it'll be available in global markets.
