The reveal of the Mi MIX 2 is just around the corner. Xiaomi has confirmed via its Weibo account that it will take the wraps off the phablet on September 11 in China. The company has posted a promo image online along with the announcement teasing the upcoming device which, unfortunately, doesn't really reveal anything we don't already know.
As you can see above, it shows a silhouette of the phablet that hints we can expect to see a bezel-less display, just like on last year's Mi MIX. However, the smartphone is said to feature even a larger screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent, an increase over the "mere" 91.3 percent of its predecessor.

Xiaomi hasn't shared any specific info regarding the device, but we have a good idea of what to expect in terms of specs thanks to a number of rumors we've come across so far. These claim that the Mi MIX 2 will sport a 6.4-inch display and should be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. We also expect to see 6 or 8 GB of RAM, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and possibly even a dual-camera setup on the back.
When it comes to software, the smartphone will likely run Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Xiaomi's MIUI 9 on top. To learn more, check out our Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 rumor roundup post to get up to speed with all the latest gossip regarding the phablet.
