In the wake of the Galaxy Note 7's disastrous release and subsequent recall, Samsung is already hyping up a few of the features of its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8.

After the company reported its quarterly financial report earlier this week, which saw a wipeout of Samsung's mobile profits due to the Note 7 recall, Lee Kyeong-tae, its vice president for mobile communications, actually revealed a few features that will be included in the Galaxy S8. According to The Wall Street Journal, Lee stated it would have a "slick design and an improved camera, as well as an enhanced artificial-intelligence service."

Those are obviously some very general and vague statements, but it shows that Samsung wants to move on from the Note 7 and get its customers and fans hyped up for the Galaxy S8. The "enhanced artificial-intelligence service" could be a reference to the Galaxy S8 using technology from intelligent interface developer Viv Labs, which Samsung recently acquired.

There are other rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 that are floating around. Some state it will have a full-screen 4K display, a dual camera and 6 GB of RAM. If you live in South Korea and bought the Note 7 and then turned it in for the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge, you will be able to get the Samsung Galaxy S8 for a highly reduced price.

Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy S8 as part of the Mobile World Congress trade show in late February, followed by a launch in March. Rumors about the company releasing the phone early, to offset the lost sales of the Note 7, have been refuted.
