Huawei Mate 10: Release date

Fortunately for us, we don't have to guess when exactly the Mate 10 will be revealed. The company has already announced that the smartphone will make its debut on October 16, in Munich, Germany.

The invite for the event, which you can see above, actually doesn't specifically mention the Mate 10 but does show the number 10 in the background and has the "Meet the device worth waiting for" tagline. This basically confirms that we'll see the successor to the Mate 9, which was announced in November 2016.

Just like the Mate 9, the upcoming smartphone will likely go on sale in certain European markets a month or so after its reveal, with the US release date scheduled at a later date, although this hasn't been confirmed yet.

Huawei Mate 10: Price

Unfortunately, we haven't heard any rumors regarding the price of the Mate 10 yet. However, we can get a good idea of how much the device will set you back by looking at the price tag of its predecessor.

When launched, the Mate 9 retailed for $599 in the US, £549,99 in the UK, and €699 in the rest of Europe. Our best guess at this point is that the phablet will either cost the same or maybe even a bit more than its predecessor. Just keep in mind that this is the price for the standard version of the device. If the rumored Pro variant does see the light of day, it will likely cost even more.

How much more is kind of hard to say, but what's certain is that it will retail for quite a bit less than one of its main competitors, the Galaxy Note 8. The unlocked version of Samsung's phablet starts at $929 in the US and £869 in the UK.

So, there you have it. The Mate 10 will be revealed on October 16 and while its price isn't official yet, we have a rough idea of what to expect. As soon as we hear more rumors on this topic, we'll update this post to keep you up to speed.
