- Samsung is improving the Galaxy Note 9's camera through a new OTA.
- The update focuses on low-light shooting with the Samsung flagship.
- Expect superior brightness in low-light, brighter faces, and less noise.
Samsung is rolling out a Galaxy Note 9 update focused squarely on the camera. SamMobile spotted the update in Germany, though it should hit other markets in future.
The 302MB OTA, firmware version N960FXXU2ARI9, comes with the September 1 security patch and includes specific upgrades like: brighter faces when the subjects are backlit, less noise in low light shots, and better brightness in low-light.
Samsung also says it has improved the day/night HDR control accuracy.
The Note 9's camera is regarded as one of the best smartphone cameras ever, something which prompted us to write a dedicated Galaxy Note 9 camera review when we first got our hands on the unit. From here on out, it should be an even stronger force to be reckoned with.
We haven't spotted this update in the U.S. but we'll let you know when we do. If you see it sooner, give us heads-up in the comments.
