We've already seen some frankly astonishing renders of Xiaomi's Mi Mix Alpha concept phone unveiled earlier today in China, but just wait until you've seen what the real-life version looks like.
In the video, originally uploaded to Weibo by user Hardware School, we can see a behind-glass Mi Mix Alpha in all its wraparound glory.
As well as showcasing a display that starts on the front and just keeps on going, it also shows the context-sensitive, software-based keys along the side of the phone, as well as pulsing lights and icons that also appear along the display curve for notifications.
The video also gives us a brief glimpse of the vertical camera bar that sports a whopping 108MP main sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens. The demo running on the phone also mentions Charge Turbo which may well be the same 40W wired/27W wireless charging tech confirmed for the Mi 9 Pro.
Quite a handful
If the video wasn't enough, there's also some Mi Mix Alpha hands-on shots courtesy of everyone's favorite feline leaker, Ice Universe.

The images give us a better grasp on the size of the phone and, well, that's a long, chonky boi, I'm sure you'd agree.
Priced at an eye-watering 20,000 yuan (~$2,800), the Mi Mix Alpha is very much a wild proof of concept rather than a traditional flagship. It may be ridiculously impractical (and hilariously fragile) in reality, but just watching the video makes me want to get my hands it and try out that "180.6% screen-to-body ratio display" for myself.
