Huawei Mate 30 series launch date confirmed

Huawei Mobile has confirmed a September 19 launch date for the Mate 30 series in Munich, Germany. The teaser states Huawei is "going full circle" with the Mate 30, no doubt referencing the Mate 30's cameras. The image leaks we've seen so far feature a circular quad-camera array on the back of the device.

Huawei has been pretty clear that it would prefer to ship phones with Android and that it has no plans to sell a HarmonyOS phone this year. While recent rumors pointed to a Mate 30 delay in the West due to issues accessing Google services, Huawei has already announced both the Nova 5T and Y9 S will ship by the end of the year with Google services intact.

We may now have a date, but the biggest questions about the Mate 30 Pro are still up in the air. It may run Android, but will it have access to the Google Play Store and Google Play Services? How will the Entity List affect its components? And how much is the trade war going to affect its price?
