Xiaomi Mi Alpha has a crazy 180.6% screen-to-body ratio

Xiaomi thinks the future of smartphone display is wraparound displays. The company just announced the Mi Alpha – its screen wraps around its edges and goes around the back of the phone, achieving a bonkers screen-to-body ratio of 180.6%. Of course, this crazy high number is achieved by some creative interpretation of what the screen-to-body ratio means. But that doesn't take away from Xiaomi's impressive achievement.

The Xiaomi Mi Alpha features an 108MP camera on the back of the device. Because you can simply turn the phone and use the camera on its back, the phone lacks a front-facing camera.

Xiaomi said it uses AI and special sensors to disable unwanted touches on the sides of the device. An improved haptic motor provides tactile feedback to the phone's software-based volume keys.

We're just learning what the Xiaomi Mi Alpha is about, but one thing is clear right now. This is the coolest design on the market right now.
