Earlier today, OnePlus posted what will end up being the final open betas for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones. These final betas bring in some bug fixes, some app tweaks, and one feature launched with the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Since these are the final open betas, that likely means OnePlus will launch a final, stable version of Oxygen OS for the OnePlus 5 family sometime soon.
However, all is not lost, as OnePlus previously confirmed that both smartphones would eventually receive an update to Android Q. What the company likely plans to do is to repeat what it did for the OnePlus 3 and 3T, which is to release a final stable version of Oxygen OS and then perform closed betas for the next flavor of Android.
Once the OnePlus 5 and 5T get Android Q, though, that will be it: the company will have given two years of updates to the devices as well as a whopping four flavors of Android (Nougat, Oreo, Pie, and Q).
Here is the changelog for these final open betas, which are open beta 35 for the OnePlus 5 and open beta 33 for the OnePlus 5T:

- Optimized Quick Responses for declined calls and supported editing Quick Responses
